Overland Africa - UK to Cape Town
An incredible overland journey from the UK to Cape Town via West Africa
Our Trans Africa trip is a true Africa overland travel expedition. And as with any travel to West Africa and central Africa, you must expect a high degree of hardship: digging the truck out of mud, sand matting in the Sahara, and still be ready to participate in the day to day activities such as buying food, cooking and gathering fire wood. You will experience extremes of climate from the heat of the desert, to torrential downpours in the jungles. We will often be isolated from the rest of the world, away from doctors and telephones, and at times food and water supplies will be limited.
But it's all worth it!
We have two specialist 4x4 & 6x4 vehicles which are used solely for the Trans Africa Expedition. They are equipped with our usual high range of equipment and comprehensive range of spare parts.
We believe all this will make life easier and safer whilst 'on the road' and add to the enjoyment of the African overland travel expedition.
This 23 week trip is the first section of our 40 week UK to Cape Town, Nairobi and Cairo expedition - see Trans Africa 40 weeks or Trans Africa 31 week adventure.
