This magnificent mountain walk begins at the mighty Pico Arieiro (1818 mtr.) and heads off into the interior through jagged pinnacles and enormous towers of volcanic rock embellished with lava veins. Our exhilarating journey takes us to the highest point on the island, the soaring Pico Ruivo (1862 mtr.) before we descend to Achada do Teixeira.
