Rating - 4 - Room Only Bed and Breakfast Half Board Quinta Splendida Wellness and Botanical Garden is located in Caniço on the Island of Madeira. The estate is set in 30.000 square meters of landscaped botanical gardens with over 1.000 species of different plants, tempting the guests to take a walk and relax taking unforgettable holiday experiences back home. The main building is a restored 19th century Manor House, rich in antiquities and paintings. The accommodation is situated in spacious cottages around the gardens and the pool. From the outdoor pool, you can enjoy fantastic views across the Atlantic to the nearby nature reserve Ilhas Desertas. The accommodation has got 166 rooms, with 5 different accommodation types: standard twin room, studio, one or two bedroom apartments and SPA suites. Children under 16 years old are not allowed in the spa suites.You have a fantastic choice of places to eat, drink, relax and sample organic produce. The Gourmet Restaurant La Perla, The Thai Lounge, Galeria Restaurant, Bar Siddhartha and Bar The Globe with evening entertainment.The 1400m Spa and Wellness Area Tep Panom (not incl.) offers an oasis of luxury suites and spa facilities and 10 treatment rooms with an extensive treatment list. Children under 16 years old are not allowed in the spa. Clients staying in other rooms than suites may access to the spa, paying a fee locally as well as for the indoor pool. There is a 24-hour reception service and English, German and French speaking staff, plus meeting facilities, library, wine tasting and garden tour as well a shuttle bus to Funchal. (gratis). A PC with Internet access and also wifi internet access are free of charge within a public area inside the hotel area.At an additional charge make use of the rent-a-car and laundry service. You may park in one of the 40 spaces, or secure your car in a garage (fees apply). The health centre with sauna, Turkish bath and Jacuzzi, billiard and table tennis in the traditional part of the hotel is free for our guests.

By car:- From the airport take the highway (via rapida) into direction Funchal - Come out exit nbr. 16 - Caniço de Baixo- Turn right, following the sign Caniço centre up the hill- Once you are in Caniço, Quinta Splendida is the first building on your right hand side in opposite the post office
