Ride the waves a different way every day with our unique flexible choice system!

We use a flexible activity booking system, whereby each member of your party can choose which core activities they want to do and when they want to do them. This gives great flexibility, insofar as couples may choose to enjoy different activities in the mornings before meeting up for lunch and sharing a further session in the afternoon.

So, if you are into, say, horse riding but your partner prefers mountain biking, you can simply tailor your holiday so that each of you gets to do what they like best.

Whether you wish to go horse riding, walking, hiking, canyoning, mountain or Quad biking in the surrounding hills and mountains. Or try your hand at windsurfing, dinghy sailing or scuba diving on a PADI course in the clear blue Mediterranean sea. Or take belly and Arab dance classes, train with one of the foremost body builders in Spain, visit historic sites such as The Alhambra in Granada or simply relax with spa and beauty treatments, we can totally sort it for you.

We are based in Almuñécar, on the beautiful Andalucian coast, and provide an outdoor adventure travel service, focussing on bespoke activity holidays. None of the activities are compulsory, of course - you are free to do as much or as little as you wish, and most are pitched at a level whereby any reasonably fit person, regardless of sex, can partake and enjoy them.

Itinerary / Highlights

Our multi sport activity holidays give you fantastic choice, and our flexible system gives you the ability to create your own custom agenda, so please check out our web site for all the options. Our 2009 itinerary runs as follows:
Our 2009 summer activity holiday itinerary runs from Sat 30 May until Sat 3 Oct 09. Outside of these dates our Winter Season itinerary applies.

Saturday - We meet you at Malaga Airport and transfer you to your accommodation - All transfers are dedicated to us, so there is no waiting while a shared coach drops off at a dozen different hotels before yours! On arrival we will quickly run through your fully detailed welcome folder, which contains all the local maps, guides and information you need to get the most from your stay.

Saturday Evening - Join our beach side welcome meeting in a chiringuito overlooking the glittering blue sea and enjoy a refreshing drink & tapa while we answer any questions you may have, before our inclusive welcome evening meal & drinks in a typical Andalucian restaurant.

Sunday - Choose from either one of our ever popular self guided Mountain Biking routes or Walk the Ridge. Experienced riders can take our great Ridge Route with options off road between 9 and 15km, or a return all downhill via tarmac. Stunning views over the white villages and the bright blue sea, from a high point of some 600m altitude. Walkers have a great self guided walk along the first part of the ridge, descending to explore a neighbouring white village, where we rendezvous in a tapas bar later and bring you back via the hills to Almuñécar. All route notes & maps needed supplied as well as picnic lunch.

Less experienced riders can try our great downhill Mountain Bike route which descends through a nature reserve with wild animals down spectacular roads with views over towards the African coast. Pretty well downhill all the way, so great for families as well.


Monday - Choose from either a PADI trial dive, or watersports No previous experience required on our diving, as all instruction is given to you for a first class introduction to this brilliant sport. If the bug bites we can organise a full four day course in which you will gain the world recognised PADI Open Water Diver qualification, allowing you to dive with a buddy independent of an instructor

Watersports & Join our escorted Sea Kayak Safari in double or single seat sea kayaks around the sea cliffs and caves,where we paddle around stopping at adjoining beaches & coves for a swim & snorkel (free hire of masks & snorkels). Or, enjoy a half days windsurfing and an hours sea kayaking. A great choice of windsurfing boards & rigs suitable from complete beginners to experts. All equipment supplied. Windsurfing instruction / courses can be arranged on arrival if rqd, as well as dinghy or catamaran sailing in Lasers, GP142 & Hobies.

Evening After our days activities we all meet up in a beach bar and then set off for an evening's mini-tour of Almuñécar to get you orientated. On this we will see some of the Roman ruins, the castle, old town and a few of the lovely monuments and statues by Miguel Moreno.

Tuesday & Choose from a coastal paths walk to a neighbouring white town, or try your hand at riding. A great coastal walk with a picnic lunch to enjoy en route, following the Moorish Atalayas (watchtowers) along the coast & cliff paths to the neighbouring town of Salobreña with its Arabic hill top castle. Time to sightsee in Salobreña, perhaps exploring the castle and old town with its gleaming white houses clinging to the hill below - or stroll over to the beach and enjoy tapas or freshly barbequed fish at a beach bar by the sea. Transport back and your picnic lunch, as well as Salobreña guide notes all included.

Our Horse Riding is in comfortable & safe Spanish or Portuguese saddles and takes you along the old mule trails through the olive and mango orchards overlooking the glittering blue sea. Fantastic views and superb, forward going horses. Lessons in the arena with BHS qualified instructors can be arranged locally if rqd.

Evening - Join us on our fun filled Tapas Trail, where €15 "in the kitty" takes around the old town with its tapas bars and restaurants. A great way to get to know the old part of town, with its cobbled streets lined with small shops as well as the local tapas & specialities.

Wednesday & Free time to maybe try one of our optional activities. Visit the amazing Alhambra Palace in Granada, visit a spa, or just relax by the glittering blue sea. Moto Cross / off road trail riding is available, while summer yacht charters are great fun. Perhaps do some sightseeing or mountain biking, take a guided walk, or try any of our other optional activities... the choice is yours - just let us know and we will get it Totally Sorted for you!

Thursday - Summer Season - Choose from Canyoning, Mountain Biking or a Natural Park Hike. Our canyoning is a "must do" activity for all in the summer season (runs Apr & Oct), this full days canyoning is a great day in truly spectacular surroundings. Walking, swimming and jumping down the river and rock pools, as well as abseiling down the waterfalls in the gorges high in the mountains, where the mountain goats just stand and wonder why we do it. Absolutely brilliant fun! Packed lunch included.

As an alternative, enjoy our brilliant Sierra Almijara Mountain Bike natural park ride! We drive in a/c 4WD up through the valley inland into the Natural Park, enjoying the fantastic scenery, to our drop off at an altitude of 1062m above sea level. You then descend on forest tracks through the park to the villages of Lentegi, then down further tracks to Otivar, before heading back to Jete on road. You can then either continue home of the road, or dive down into Rio Verde to follow the river course back. If you'd rather walk, our Natural Park hike is a glorious walk down through the natural park with time to relax in the olive groves for a picnic. We finish at a typical restaurant in Otivar for tapas / lunch (not inc) before our transport arrives to take us back down the valley to home. Picnic lunch inc.

Thursday - Winter Season (Nov - end Mar) we offer Horse Riding or perhaps Skiing / Boarding instead of Canyoning as the rivers are too high. In the skiing season, opportunity (numbers dependent) for a days skiing in Sierra Nevada, from where on a clear day we see the mountains of the Rift Valley in Africa. Local payment for transport, lift pass and kit hire. If not skiing, then try our great riding out in the sierras, or perhaps for more experienced riders the opportunity for a beach ride. Lessons with BHS qualified instructors can be arranged. Mountain Biking & Hiking in the natural park (as above) complete your options.


Friday - Choose from Quad Biking where we have an exciting 3 hr Quad Bike safari in the Axarquia region takes you high into the sierras and the natural park on our Quad Bikes. You will get full instruction on how to safely handle your Quad, before setting off to explore off road along the river beds and trails. UK (or equiv) licence rqd to drive.

If not Quad Biking, try a half day excursion to see the worlds largest underground column in the spectacular Nerja caves complex, where we will see where the famous ballets are held each year in Spring. Amazing underground formations in a truly spectacular setting. We then visit the Balcon de Europe, where we have time for sight seeing and refreshments before returning home. Or, take our
Excursion to explore the Pueblo Blanco (White Vilage) of Frigiliana with its maze of cobbled streets and white cottages dating back to Moorish times. A real "picture postcard" village, with enchanting tapas bars, and stunning views from the terraces and hill top behind the town. Don't forget the camera!

Accommodation Details

Self catering apartments
Fully fitted a/c apartments conveniently located on the edge of the historic Arabic part of Almuñécar, adjoining the main shopping area. They are exceptionally well appointed, having recently been totally refurbished and are situated just 70m from the central beach. Suitable for up to four persons and are ideal for families, as each has a double or two single beds in the main bedroom, with a sofa bed in the living room. For comfort we recommend them for 2 + 1 adults or 2 adults + 2 children.

Hotels - B& or HB options
Our hotel accommodation is ideal for those looking for accommodation on a "bed & breakfast" basis in a modern hotel environment, with pool, tennis court and other guest facilities. This season we have focused on Hotel La Najarra, which is just 90m from the San Cristobal beach and it's magnificent promenade. Just behind the hotel are the El Majuelo botanical gardens, with the roman ruins. It is very conveniently located for the town centre and the historic old town under the castle.We can offer double rooms (2 persons) triples or family rooms (for a max of 4 persons) all with terraces & a/c.
