The coach will take the non-walkers to the cableway to meet the others at the top. Brunch is for your own account at the top of the cableway. Take the cableway back down and continue on a tour of the city and a trip to Robben Island. Finish the day with dinner at any one of many excellent restaurants at the V & A Waterfront.

DAY 04
Leave Cape Town and travel into the winelands with a wine tour en route and lunch for your own account at one of the wine farms. Afternoon match against Paul Roos High School in Stellenbosch.

DAY 05
Leave Stellenbosch and travel via Oudtshoorn to George and Knysna’s. En route today we can stop at a variety of places including the Cango caves, an Ostrich farm (where Ostriches can be ridden!), a Cheetah and wildlife centre and more. We have not included any entrance fees, so the group can decide on where they want to go on the day. Once in Knysna the coaches will be available for sightseeing and a dinner transfer.

DAY 06
Today is a day of fun and relaxation with the coaches at your disposal to drive you around sightseeing or to go out and do things! There is quite a lot to see and do and we can arrange canoeing, boat trips, hikes, horse riding, lunch on the ‘John Benn’ on the lagoon, a walk out to Featherbed Nature Reserve and more. The Outeniqua Choo Tjoe, an old steam train trip from Knysna to George (one way or return) may appeal to some and for others there is the opportunity to explore the wonderful shops and flea-markets in Knysna.

DAY 07
Leave Knysna this morning and travel to Port Elizabeth with sightseeing along the way. Lunch will be for your own account. This afternoon you arrive at the Marine Hotel in Port Elizabeth and will have a short time to relax after a day on the coach.
Later this afternoon you will be met by representatives from Calabash Tours who will take you on a township tour. Port Elizabeth is famous for its townships and Calabash Tours offer a wonderful, interesting and ‘vibey’ tour that ends with dinner at a traditional shebeen.

DAY 08
There will be a morning match against a township team, followed by a shower and lunch at the grounds before departing to the airport.
In the afternoon, the group will fly to Durban. On arrival in Durban the group will be met and transferred to the Protea Edward Hotel on the Durban promenade, close to attractions, across the road from the beach and within easy walking distance of several superb restaurants.

DAY 09
After breakfast the boys will have a mid-morning match against a Durban high school. Lunch will be for your own account and the afternoon is at leisure. We can offer surfing lessons, sea kayaking, a city tour, visit to the Indian market, a trip to the coast of Shakaland if the group want to include lunch and some traditional Zulu Dancing, we can arrange yachts for a sea trip, fishing for those that are interested and more.

DAY 10
A second morning match, this time against Hilton College. The group will return to Durban and have rest of the day at leisure with the coach at your disposal for sightseeing.

DAY 11
Today will be the day of rest and the actual time of departure can be discussed with the driver the day before. The day can be spent sightseeing or exploring the area with its art and crafts shops, tea gardens and much more. We can arrange fly-fishing, lunch at Mulberry Hill, mountain biking, horse riding with a game at Tala Valley or Tilleytudlum etc.

DAY 12
Morning rugby match against Michaelhouse with a shower and lunch at the school after the game.
Depart from Dundee with a visit to the Ladysmith museum en route. This is not compulsory at all and can depend on time!

DAY 13
An early breakfast will be at the respective accommodations after which the group will leave Dundee early and head for the battle site of iSandlwana. A local battlefield specialist will meet you there and give you a brief overview of the epic battles of iSandlwana and Rorke’s Drift.
We will have a picnic lunch with us and will either have that at iSandlwana before leaving, or somewhere en route, depending on time. Travel to the iMfolozi Park via the eMakhosini Valley and the Cengeni Gate. A short game drive will be undertaken while en route to Mpila Camp. Here there will be opportunities to see the “Big Five” (lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo and rhino)!

DAY 15
The drive out of the park will include some game viewing as group heads for the southern Nyalazi Gate. From here you will travel to St. Lucia where lunch and a boat cruise on the estuary have been included. While on the boat trip, you are guaranteed to see hippo, crocodile and wide variety of bird life.

Our arrangements end at Durban Airport where will drop you off in time for a flight to Johannesburg to connect with your international flight.

   Accommodation & Centre Details

All accomodation is included as part of itinerary. We have lodges and hotels:The Protea Breakwater Lodge, The Devon Valley Protea Hotel, The Protea Landmark Lodge, The Knysna Protea Landmark Lodge, The Protea Marine Hotel, The Protea Edward Hotel, The Royal Inn

Due to the size of the group we will use two hotels – Fern Hill Hotel (+64 beds) outside Howick and Rawdon’s Hotel (+- 50 beds) near Nottingham Road. Michaelhouse is between these two hotels, but slightly closer to Rawdon’s. We will arrange for the whole group to have dinner together at one of the hotels and will arrange a minibus to ferry any extras to the other hotel after dinner, if necessary.

Most ‘family rooms’ consist of a double bed and a fold out couch, which is not ideal for a teenage boy, so I have based the rates on twin accommodation. If there is a situation where a child shares a room with a parent, the cost of that child will be reduced slightly.

The overall cost has reduced considerably due to choice of coaches and hotels. If you feel you would like to upgrade the accommodation, we can do so will pleasure. I would just need an idea of what you are prepared to add to the total cost.
