Sailing School with a wide variety of programs

Learn to sail, improve your already acquired skills, or take a cruise! Sailing is a sport!
Course levels from beginner to skipper level, preps for charter, spinnaker courses, regatta courses, Latin sail, Malta cruise, Trans Adriatic cruise - you name it, it is all here.

No experience is required for the beginners level, but of course that for the higher levels, none of the intermediate steps may be omitted.

The group size is 5 persons per sailing boat, but more than one sailing boat may be assigned to a course or cruise.

WEEKEND COURSE PREPS FOR CHARTER

Program:
- check in / check out
- preparations of a ship for cruising

- practising sailing in, sailing out, docking and anchoring
- practice in navigation - using of GPS
- 3 h sailing per day (the course lasts for 2 days)

LEVEL I - BEGINNERS COURSE

As part of this course, basic skills such as handling ropes and deck equipment, basic navigating manoeuvres, shortening sails, steering, avoiding collisions on the sea, and so on are taught. Furthermore, participants acquire other necessary knowledge such as aerodynamics of the sails, navigation, meteorology and first aid.

LEVEL II - CRUISING COURSE

Once you have finished the beginner's course, here is the opportunity to enjoy pleasant sailing in the picturesque surrounding waters of the national park Kornati, to refresh in detail your knowledge of the beginner's course program.

LEVEL III - ADVANCED COURSE

As part of this course, you will learn everything you need to know to sail on your own. The course takes place in Kornati area.

LEVEL IV - SKIPPER COURSE

If you wish to prepare yourself for this hard and responsible role we recommend you our skipper course. You can join if you have learned the basics of sailing, navigation, handling a spinnaker... Otherwise, you instructor has the right to send you back on some of the lower level courses.

MALTA

This course is for those who would like to experience a real off-shore sailing. Malta is located in the very centrer of the Mediterranean Sea, some 60 miles from Sicily. The crew is separated in two shifts: 4 hours on the deck, 4 hours rest.

TRANSADRIATIC

The sailing starts in Jezera, we will have to do the border crossing formalities on the island of Lastovo, and then we are off. Crossing the Adriatic to the place of Vieste on Gragano peninsula, in Italy, and back to Jezera. The crew is separated in two shifts: 4 hours on the deck, 4 hours rest.

Do not forget your passport and waterproof sailing gear!

SPINNAKER COURSE

If you wish to learn thoroughly to sail with spinnaker, as a recreational sailor, or to use your knowledge on the regattas, this course is just made for you...

REGATTA COURSE - ON INQUIRY

If you wish to try the competitive sailing, we have prepared for you the regatta course.

This course is fit only for those participants who have the knowledge level that corresponds with the graduates of our advanced course: sailing with spinnaker, tack, jibing, trimming of sails, navigation...

Program includes: history of regattas and sorts of regatta fields, crew and ship preparation for the regatta, trimming of sails and mast, regatta rules, tactics of start and sailing, signals in the starting procedure, protesting, applying for a regatta etc.
We are sailing in front of Jezera, and every day we practice until Friday afternoon, when we start towards the place where we participate in the first regatta. That would be Zadar, Biograd or Split.
If you wish, you may worm up before the classes start, with running or in a gym. It will be hard but interesting...

LATIN SAIL - ON INQUIRY

1. day - SATURDAY
arrival in Jezera, accommodation of the attendees either in the facilities of the provider or privately (self-booked private accommodation)

2. day - SUNDAY
trip to Betina where the sailing boat type FALKUSA is docked, introducing to FALKUSA, learning the names of the ship parts and traditional words for respective manoeuvres, equipment of the ship, rowing and sailing

3. day - MONDAY
further sailing maneuvers and skills instruction

4. day - TUESDAY
whole day sailing in the bay of Betina

5. day - WEDNESDAY
sailing on course Betina - Kornati (or island Zut) - spending night in Kornati

6. day - THURSDAY
return from Kornati

7.day - FRIDAY
Partaking on the regatta on Murter
