Itinerary / Highlights
Located at the north-eastern coast of Peninsular Malaysia. About 21 km off shores the remote town of Kuala Besut. There are two lovely unspoiled island lie amidst exquisitely clear waters. Pulau Perhentian Kecil (Small Perhentian) and Perhentian Besar (Big Perhentian) comprise the Perhentian Island, aptly named after "henti"(stop) as fishermen from mainland Kelantan and Terengganu have, for centuries, stopped over at the island for a rest or to shelter during a major storm. A rocky virgin jungle provides hour of adventures for trekkers who may chance upon flying fox, long-tailed macaques and monitor lizards, while the underneath marine life shows off a splendid garden of coral.The climate:-
Malaysia's climate is hot and humid with relative humidity ranging from 80 - 90 percent, except in the highlands. The temperature averages from 70-90 degrees F (20-30 degrees C) throughout the year. The tropical climate is experienced year-round with the rainy season varying on the coasts of Peninsular Malaysia. The east coast experiencing it's rain from October through to February; the best time to travel is between May and October.

There are seven flights a week to perhentian with KLM via Amsterdam. perhentian's airport is called Flamingo International Airport.There are also several daily flights to Curacao and Aruba making a two center holiday an easy option.Please remember a $20 departure take on leaving the resort.DEPARTURE AIRPORTS

Bayu Dive Lodge (Perhentian Besar):
This super newly opened family run diver resort is built right next to the dive school this is an exceptionally well organized accommodation specifically designed with divers in mind.
There are four different types of accommodation. The Deluxe seaview and gardenview cottages are the most popular. The cottages feature either queen size or two single beds, private bathroom and a private porch with rattan lounge chairs. Other amenities include air conditioning, wall fan, attached western bathroom with hot water shower and free wireless internet connection. We use quality spring mattress and goose feather pillows for extreme comfort. Standard Aircon chalets feature all amenities except private porch.
