DAYS 1 - 2, Nairobi, Arusha, Lake Manyara
We leave the bustle of Nairobi and head south to Arusha, Tanzania’s safari capital. The next morning we drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Watch pelicans, storks and herons as they share the algae-rich waters with migrant flamingos, turning the crystalline edges of this soda lake a vibrant pink.
DAYS 3 - 5, Olduvai Gorge, Serengeti National
We stop briefly at Olduvai Gorge before reaching the Serengeti, taking in game drives across its grassy plains and camping out under the stars. After taking our fill of Serengeti’s wildlife, we game drive to our next camp near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. Descending onto the crater floor of this World Heritage site we enjoy arguably some of the best game viewing in Africa.
DAYS 6 - 7, Tarangire National Park, Arusha
Our final stop is Tarangire National Park, whose picturesque landscape of open plains and ancient baobabs is home to huge elephant herds, some numbering 300! We enjoy wildlife encounters here before spending a night in Arusha. The following day we return to Nairobi where our tour ends.
