In just 3 days walk around in Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, discovering beautiful coastal and sierra trails. Walk to and visit the amazing castles, convents, palaces and churches of Sintra - a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The tour starts at Guincho Beach, one of the most famous windsurf spots in the world. We will walk along an amazing and majestic coast with huge cliffs, dunes and rocky beaches just beyond the mountains of Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Visit the westernmost point on the European mainland, the headland of Cape Roca, a promontory rising 150m from the sea. Discover impressive beaches nestling between cliffs artistically sculpted out by the sea – a unique coastal scenery!
Explore typical village of Colares and walk through the exuberant vegetation of Sintra Sierra. Visit the incredible Franciscan Capuchin Convent with its tiny cells, installed in the rock and lined with cork, a telling example of the humble and austere existence of the Franciscan friars who lived there. Walk on the sierra and discover and visit the amazing Gardens and Palace “Monserrate”.
Finally arrive and discover Sintra, the beautiful town at the foot of a sierra. Its unique characteristics have led UNESCO to classify Sintra as a World heritage site with the special category of "cultural landscape" - taking into account its natural riches as well as the historic buildings in the town and the sierra endowed with luxuriant vegetation. Walk through this amazing scenery, going up on the mountain and finding the incredible Moorish Castle dating back to the early days of the Moorish occupation of the Peninsula - the 8th Century.
Visit the outstanding Pena Palace finding a wild fantasy of domes, towers, ramparts and walkways on one of the highest mountain peaks of Sintra. Come and enjoy Sintra walking!

Itinerary / Highlights

Day 1:
Along the Coast - Transfer from Hotel or airport during morning and drive to Guincho beach passing trough the beautiful city of Cascais standing by the sea. Walk along the beautiful and wild coast of Sintra-Cascais National Park. Visit the westernmost point of Continental Europe. Transfer back to the Hotel. 8km (5mi), level 2.

Day 2:
Sintra Sierra - Transfer to the typical village of Colares. Walk up Sintra sierra to amazing Capuchin Convent built in 1560. Picnic and visit the convent. Walk on the Sierra to amazing Monserrate Palace and gardens. Transfer back to the Hotel. 8km (5mi), level 2.

Day 3:
Castles and Palaces of world Heritage Sintra - Walk up from the village to the Castle and to Pena Palace. Visit the palace and return to Sintra. Transfer back to the Hotel. 8km (5mi), level 2 .
