Day One – Inverness to the Isle of Skye

From Inverness we head west through the Great Glen and Glen Shiel to the mystical Isle of Skye. At our centrally based accommodation in Portree, we will discuss the plans for the week and check over our bikes ready for the next day.
Day Two – The Idrigill Loop, Skye

Our opening ride takes us to the north of the Island and the Duirinish Peninsula. The route follows the cliff-top of some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in Britain. There are few rides in Britain to compare with this one. Dramatic single-track and the occasional “portage” add to the adventure.^
Day Three – Glen Sligachan, Skye

Mountain biking in Scotland doesn’t come any better this. Recently selected as the best singletrack in Britain, Glen Sligachan is a rock-strewn, twisting, technical test-piece. If the riding doesn’t take your breath away the scenery of the Cuillin Mountains surely will. An incredible and unforgettable day!
Day Four – The Quirang, Skye

An easier day exploring the fascinating geology of the Quirang. Although today’s route is only 10km, the riding follows some amazing singletrack, spectacularly situated beneath the basalt cliffs of the Quirang. In the evening, we leave Skye by ferry, heading for the beautiful Island of Harris.
Day Five – Loch Ladasdail Circuit, Harris

This fantastic route takes us from near Tarbert up Loch Ladasdail and along the shores of the fjord-like Loch Seaforth. From Reinigeadal we follow some rarely ridden singletrack that leads west over high ground back to our starting point.
Day Six – Aird a’ Mhulaidh to Glen Meavaig, Harris

From Aird a’ Mhulaidh we cross towards Stulaval in the North Harris mountains and its magnificent rocky crags. The route becomes increasingly wild as we descend into the secluded Glen Meavaig – golden eagles are often seen here. Our route home mixes some great trail sections with some quiet road cruising.
Day Seven – Stornoway to Inverness

From Harris we head north to the Isle of Lewis and the return sailing from Stornoway to Ullapool. Upon arrival in Ullapool, it is approximately a 90 minute drive to Inverness.
