Throughout your time in Cape Town as a volunteer you will have the chance to surf at some of Cape Town's best spots. It doesn't matter if you can or can't surf, Cape Town has the perfect waves for you. Beginners can take to the waves at Muizenberg, probably one of the world's best learn to surf breaks, where as experienced surfers can take advantage of the many options offered by the Cape Peninsula. Being based on the beach in Kommetjie, you have access to no less than 16 spots in the immediate vicinity and Tim's intimate knowledge of the Cape Town surf scene will ensure you get to the best waves for the day.
First Timers / Beginners: Daily lessons will be held at Muizenberg with Tim, one of our most experienced surf coaches. A beginner board will be provided for initial surfs until you are ready to graduate onto your own stick!
Intermediates / Advanced Surfers: Tim will be your local surf guide, taking you to the pick of the spots for the given day. As a BSA Level 2 coach and with many years experience, benefit from personalized performance coaching and priceless local knowledge as you get to know the Cape Town surf-scene as it should be done!
