Surf Lesson in Perranporth

Booking in for a single session at the academy is highly recommended for first time surfers as well as those looking to dust off winter cobwebs. We split our groups dependent upon previous surfing ability, so you'll always be surfing with someone of a similar standard.

For those that are here for their first time, we'll take you through the basics of wave riding and water safety on the beach, before getting stuck into to catching white water waves lying and standing.

Those that already have some previous surfing experience take time to understand the surfing conditions before being set achievable targets for the session.

More advanced surfers are able to take advantage of a single session focusing on more specific areas of surfing.

Itinerary / Highlights

All equipment is included in the price of your lesson. This includes full length wetsuit and boots (depending on time of year) and a soft foam surfboard.

Beginners are allocated one of our soft foam boards especially designed for beginners. These boards are soft, buoyant, stable and easy to catch waves on.

We have a variety of different length boards to cater for all shapes and sizes so we make sure we have the perfect apparatus for you to start catching your first waves.

Perranporth is a growing town situated 10 miles South of Newquay on the North coast of Cornwall. Driving down the hill into the town, you are greeted with a picturesque view overlooking the town and beach, as it sits in a river formed valley opening out to the sea.

With onsite parking, changing room facilities, and shop the Academy is perfectly positioned to make your surf lessons as comfortable and convenient as possible from the outset.

Perranporth's tranquil and serene setting makes for a chilled and friendly atmosphere in and out of the water. The large open sandy beach and the small groups we teach allow us to increase the 'one on one' coaching and leave us the freedom to style the lesson to your needs.
