Itinerary / Highlights
The West Coast of Morocco, in North Africa has been on the traveling surfers' map since the 60's. With a non-stop source of swell from the North Atlantic and dozens of surf breaks, from mellow four-foot beach breaks and heavy reef breaks, to rolling point breaks that go on forever, you're in paradise! Our guys will take you to the best surf for you everyday! The ultimate hassle-free surf trip!Within walking distance of the surf camp, you have five world-class waves. These include Anka Point, Hash Point, Killer Point, Panoramas, Mysteries, La Source and the wedge. Should the swell drop then we have three 4x4 trucks to venture north, where we can score bigger waves at beach breaks like Tamri and the fun point break of Boilers. You don't want to spend your two weeks waiting for waves - we will find them everyday.
The surf is typically better during the winter months from September to April, when big storms create swell in the North Atlantic. These swells then take a few days to travel south to Morocco, during this time, they spread out and become much more defined, increasing the time between each waves, this is known as wave period. These defined swell lines are excellent for surfers of all levels. As you can see below at one of the point breaks in Morocco, the swell lines then wrap around headlands to create perfect surfing waves. During the summer months, it is still very possible to surf every day in Morocco, but mainly on the beach breaks, like that found in Europe.
If you are staying at the surf camp then transport is included to the different surf spots in south Morocco, depending on what type of surf you are after. If you take the surf school option, then you will be taken to suitable, and safe beaches to learn to surf. There is an option for all levels of surfers, making Morocco a fantastic surfing destination.
