Exploring on foot, you will encounter awe-inspiring mountain scenery with dramatic views of Mont Blanc itself, as well as beautiful alpine pastures and imposing glaciers. Your base is a homely farmhouse where your hosts always give you a warm welcome.
Mont Blanc massif
The Mont Blanc massif straddles the borders of France, Italy and Switzerland, and includes western Europe’s highest mountain – Mont Blanc (4810m). Although it is many climbers' goal to summit this impressive mountain you don't have to in order to get the best out of the region. Throughout the itinerary there are opportunities for great views of the mountain, but there are also plenty of other attractions, including walks to Col de La Fenêtre, Lac de Pormenaz and the Tour Glacier. The Alpine flowers add a splash of colour, and if you keep your eyes open you should spot marmots and maybe something bigger.
Friendly Mountain base
At the end of each day you'll return from your walk to your chalet mountain base - a beautifully converted farmhouse with fantastic views of Mt. Blanc itself. Whilst the walking is the star of the show the atmosphere and fine selection of local cuisine provided by your hosts are a close second.
