Itinerary & Highlights
Day 1
Arrive in Hobart and transfer to your Hotel to relax.
Not Included: Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner
Day 2
A gorgeous scenic drive to the river. We set up the rafts and have a thorough safety and paddle briefing before camping at the confluence of the Collingwood and Franklin Rivers.

Day 3
Our first day on the river we traverse the Aesthesia Ravine, the first of the Franklin's gorges, taking on log jam and Nasty Notch before camping at Irenabyss or chasm of peace, our camp for the next 2 nights.

Day 4
A gorgeous walk up Frenchman's Cap. Lots of lower level walks as well if the weather is poor.

Day 5
Plenty of action today. Dozens of rapids. We camp beneath Sassafras and Myrtle trees and enjoy a great swimming hole.

Day 6
Today we see the Great Ravine, one of Tasmania's deepest Gorges and tackle Side Slip Rapid, before portaging at least part of The Churn. Our camp in Serenity Sound is deep within this stunning ravine.

Day 7
Today sees us running Coruscades, one of the longest rapids on the river. We portage Thunderush, then back on the water to tackle The Cauldron. Tonight's camp is at Rafter's Basin.

Day 8
We run Propsting Gorge and get further supplies from Mt McCall Track before continuing through Trojans Rapids, Rock Island Bend and Pig Trough. Next up we have Newland's Cascades... you will love it!

Day 9
We enter the limestone country of the lower reaches. Tranquil pools are broken by the occasional large rapid. Little Falls is a great spot for photos. And if we are lucky tonight, the chance to see the local platypus!

Day 10
Today we visit limestone caves which sheltered Tasmanian Aborigines 14,000 years ago. And later on we tackle 'Double Fall' before finding a great sandy campsite on the river.

Day 11
After an easy portage around "Big Fall", we pass by Pengana Cave, a towering vault in the cliffs. Finally we enjoy a drift down the Gordon River, Tasmania's largest waterway before catching our seaplane flight back to Strahan on the west coast and board our bus back to Hobart for our post trip meal.

After breakfast at the hotel before we transfer you back to the airport.
