The UKs Only Bridge Bungee Jump

Here at Ex Element we are proud and excited to bring you the only Bridge Bungee Jump available in the UK, for the first time! Middlesbrough's iconic Transporter Bridge is the setting, and what a setting it is! Made famous from the final series of the BBC's 'Auf Vidersien Pet', this jump is the one that the thrill seekers have been waiting for! The wonderfully crafted Transporter Bridge was built in 1911 and is one of only three bridge bungees operating in the World today.

The view afforded from way up there mixed with the sheer height make this a 'must-do' for all bungee lovers or thrill seekers. Once you've made it to the top of the UK's only Bridge Bungee and taken in all of the fabulous view, it's time to jump! Thumbs up, look forward and go!

Itinerary / Highlights

When you arrive at the site please make your way to the registration desk, which will be on the bungee trailer. If it is raining it may be inside the trailer or tent. Once you have been welcomed you will be required to complete a Transporter Bridge membership form. You will then be weighed twice, ensuring that the correct bungee rope is used for your jump. Then, its time to climb! 210 steps await you en route to the top of the bridge.

Once you have finally reached the top it is time for you to get harnessed and strapped in by the ankles! The professional instructors are uber-safety-conscious and perform extensive safety checks, further extending your anticipation of what's about to come! Now the easy bit, the jumping off! Waiting 170ft directly below you is the River Tees, where a speed boat will come and whisk you away after you've finished bouncing and bobbing and come to a halt.

There will be a personalized DVD and merchandise available on the day for you to buy and remember your unforgettable experience with.

Restrictions:
Age Restrictions: Minimum Age is 14. (Under 16s need a parent/guardian's signature.)
Weight Restrictions: Maximum Weight is 120kg
Over 50s will need a doctor's certificate to jump.
You must be in good health and you must make the centre aware of any medical conditions that you think may affect you being able to jump. Glasses and contact lenses MUST be removed prior to your jump. You can not bungee jump if you have any of the following: high blood pressure, heart condition, dizziness/epilepsy, pregnancy, asthma, neurological condition.

Duration:
You should allow up to an hour from arrival for your complete experience.

What to Wear / Equipment:
Dress in comfortable, casual clothes that are suitable for the weather conditions. Skirts are not recommended (think about it).

Group Size / Spectators:
Spectators are welcome and encouraged to bring cameras!
