     Tiger Safari

Multi-Activity in Delhi (India) with Intrepid Guerba Ltd

This exciting trip is an unforgettable journey into India's exotic and adventurous heartland. We journey through the ages of India's great history, from paintings left behind in Orchha's palaces, to the Mughal splendours of 17th century Delhi and Agra and hopefully spotting that elusive tiger in Panna or Kanha national park. There are towns, cities and small villages seemingly lost in time and with the shockingly explicit carvings of the Khajuraho temples will leave you in wonder. But it's when we are walking through Old Delhi, past temples and pilgrims with their incense burning that we really feel that we are travelling in a different world

15 days including experienced tour leader, quality accommodation and airport transfers. See full Itinerary below....

   Itinerary & Highlights

Day 1 Delhi - Bright colours, seductive smells and the mayhem of Indian life combine to make Delhi a fascinating city. While here, explore narrow streets of Old Delhi and discover bazaars and ancient mosques.

Days 2-3 Orchha - Stroll through rural areas largely untouched by modern life and explore the palaces and temples of Orchha. In the evening perhaps take in the puja ceremony at Ram Raja Temple.

Day 4 KhajurahoIn - The remote town of Khajuraho see the beautifully preserved ancient temples that blend the erotic with the sacred in explicit carvings of the full Kama Sutra.

Day 5 Panna National Park - Explore Madhya Pradesh's countryside by foot or bicycle before setting out to Panna National Park to attempt a glimpse at the majestic, and often elusive, tiger.

Days 6-7 Bandhavgarh National Park - Continuing on the Tiger Trail, head deeper into the jungle to Bandhavgarh National Park. As well as tigers there is an abundance of other wildlife to see.

Days 8-10 Kanha National Park - One of the most spectacular wildlife reserves in the world, Kanha is also the setting for Rudyard Kipling's much loved 'Jungle Book'.

Day 11 Agra/BharatpurIn - Visit one of India's most iconic sights, the Taj Mahal, before jumping on a rickshaw to see the 16th century Red Fort. Stay overnight in Bharatpur for some early morning birdwatching.

Days 12-13 Jaipur - Travel deeper into Rajasthan to the ancient city of Jaipur, home to the pink sandstone Hawa Mahal. There is also time to visit the Amber Fort and shop for gems, pottery and textiles in the bazaars.

Days 14-15 Delhi - Return to Delhi for a final look at the museums, temples and bazaars of this wonderful city.
