Trails of the Alpujarras

A series of day walks take you into the heart of the Alpujarras.
You’ll explore the mountainous valleys between the high sierra
and the arid coastal range, passing through whitewashed villages
and stunning forests. There is the option to take a 4WD excursion
up Mulhacen to walk (weather permitting) to the highest peak in
mainland Spain. Finally from Trevelez village you have access to the
upper slopes of the Sierra Nevada - for an easy potter up a treelined
river valley or a testing ascent of one of the nearby peaks.
In Granada you wander the atmospheric plazas and alleyways
and visit the Alhambra Palace – a fascinating collection of ornate
Moorish buildings and decorative gardens sprawled across a hillside.
The snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada provide a stunning backdrop
to the city.
