Our UK to Accra overland adventure takes in Morocco, with its ancient medinas and souks and travels through the High Atlas before following the coastline down into the deep deserts of Mauritania. Travelling inland Mali and Burkina Faso with their bustling colourful markets and amazing cultural sites, the trip finishes on the stunning beaches of Ghana.

Days 1 to 35
• Fly from UK to Gibraltar to meet the expedition vehicle.

Morocco
• Chefchaouen - stroll through this idyllic & picturesque hillside town.
• Roman ruins of Volubillis.
• Fez - guided tour of this fortress city & its amazing bazaar.
• Todra Gorge - amazing scenery & walks.
• Marrakech - visit the world famous Jema el Fna square.

Mauritania
• Cross the vast Sahara Desert.
• Parc d'Arguin - desert & beach crossing at low tide.

Mali, Bamako (the capital)
• Mopti & Djenne - visit one of the largest & oldest mud buildings in the world.
• Bandiagara Escarpment & Dogon Villages - guided two day hike learning about the Dogons beliefs & way of life.

Days 36 to 63
Burkina Faso
• Ougadougou - visit some great bars & listen to some of the best music in West Africa.

Ghana
• Mole National Park - game walk to spot the numerous elephants & game.
• Kakum National Park
• Relax on palm-fringed beaches along the Coastline.

Campsites and free camping in the bush/desert. Campsites are of varying standards, some very basic (no hot showers, long drop toilets) others with good facilities.
