About the hotel
Located in Santa Teresa, one of Rio's most charming neighbourhoods, Villa Laurinda is set in an 1888 original colonial house, surrounded by tropical gardens and a swimming pool. The house holds a comprehensive art library with a grand piano, a designed lounge for exclusive use of our guests with a computer desk and free wifi internet access all over. We also offer sauna, jacuzzi and a self-service minibar with cold drinks and snacks at the pool kiosk.Hosts are artists Dias and Riedweg, whose atelier is also in the villa. We offer the comfort and tranquility of an out-of-city retreat, while being only 5 minutes away from downtown and 10-20 minutes away from the beaches and major landmarks ( Sugar Loaf, Corcovado, Copacabana)
Directions
From Rio International Airport: take Linha Vermelha and continue on the ViaductPerimetral until the exit to Centro. Take Av. Pres. Antonio Carlos and the firstleft at Pres. Wilson. Go straight (passing through Cinelândia) to Rua Augusto Severo, turning right at Rua Cândido Mendes, in Glória, and go up until the end of the street. Make a left at Rua Almirante Alexandrino (with the tramway rail). Go straight (passing Largo dos Guimarães) onto Rua Paschoal Carlos Magno. Keep following the tramway rail on Rua Monte Alegre (left) until Posto de Saúde deSanta Teresa, and keep going straight then take the first to the left. VillaLaurinda is number 98, on the right.
