We have put together the ‘3 Peaks of the Dachstein’ walk, to some of the high points of the Dachstein Massif, where you can gaze in awe at the natural beauty of the area. Situated on the Eastern extremities of the Alps, the Dachstein Mountains dominate the skyline of the Salzkammergut.

Suggested ITINERARY - The area’s many well marked trails means that doing it yourself is a real option.
Arrive Salzburg Airport
Transfers provided to Obertraun at the heart of the Salzkammergut region of Austria and to your spacious en-suite room at the Obertrauner Hof.
Day 2 - The first day is spent on the Krippenstein, which dominates the Obertraun skyline.
A cable–car to the top, rising over 1,500m from where the Five Fingers platform provides uninterrupted views across the Hallstattersee Lake towards Bad Goisern and below.
The walk down is interspersed with further views across the lake.
Day 3 - Short transfer to Gosau from where you commence your walk.
This takes you from 700m up past the Iglmoosalm Hut at 1200m and onto the Goiserer Hut at the summit of Sonnenwend at 1600m. From here you have spectacular 360 degree panorama, including views across to the Dachstein Glacier. Descend then into Ramsau and your return transfer to Obertraun.
Day 4 - The final walk, after a short transfer to the edge of Bad Goisern. From here walk to the summit of the Predigstuhl at 1300m, through the ancient pine forest. Time to sit for a while at the summit and take in the stunning view across the valley and the village of Bad Goisern to the Dachstein Glacier.
Short descent and return to Obertraun.
Return Transfer to Salzburg Airport for your evening flight.
