Itinerary / Highlights

Day 1 Broome/ Windjana Gorge-
Visit the famous Derby Prison Tree then hit the rugged Gibb River Road to reach towering rocks at Windjana Gorge. Explore Tunnel Creek's secret caves, a former hideout for an Indigenous freedom fighter, then cool off in a waterhole.

Day 2 Mt Barnett Cattle Station-
Bliss out among cascading water at Bell Gorge. Tonight, camp by a billabong.

Days 3-4 El Questro-
A morning trek to Manning Falls makes for a great start to the day, before travelling to the spectacular El Questro cattle station. Soaking in thermal pools at Zebedee Springs is the perfect way to recharge for a hike through Emma Gorge. Horse riding, river cruising or scenic helicopter flights are all options around the station.

Day 5 Kununurra/ Lake Argyle-
Camp on the shores of Lake Argyle. There is time to join a sunset boat cruise on the lake, visit the historic Durack Homestead Museum or hike a bush trails.

Days 6-7 Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungle Ranges)-
So remote that outsiders only discovered it in the early 1980s, the park hosts extraordinary striped 'beehive' domes, palm-fringed Echidna Chasm and a natural amphitheatre in Cathedral Gorge.

Day 8 Fitzroy Crossing-
Admire the remarkable China Wall quartz vein, visit a remote Indigenous art gallery and camp by the Fitzroy River.

Day 9 Geikie Gorge/ Broome-
A leisurely cruise down majestic Geikie Gorge caps off this adventure. Learn about its geology and spot wildlife before heading back to Broome.
