Windsurfing Holiday Margarita
Margarita has become renowned for outstanding windsurfing. Margarita is located just off the Venezuelan coast. It's reliable wind has made it a mecca for recreational windsurfers. Ideal for groups of mixed abilities and those that just want to blast! Combine this with a Latin American ambience, tropical weather, a sandy beach and generally good value. The island itself has a varied landscape. The 10 minute transfer from the airport is through the dry scrubland that surrounds El Yaque. In the centre, the mountains rise to 900 metres and are covered in tropical vegetation. Around the north are pretty little villages, cliffs and more dramatic scenery. Over in La Restinga, most of the area is national park with mangrove swamps and long beaches. |

Itinerary & Highlights
The Vela Margarita centre is one of, if not the best Windsurfing centre in Margarita. Featuring F2 boards and Neil Pryde rigs and never more than 7 clients booked for every 10 boards, you are only a few metres from the water's edge.

EL YAQUE BEACH HOTEL
Situated in the perfect position above the Vela centre, El Yaque Beach Hotel has a range of accommodation from standard and deluxe rooms to one and two bedroom apartments. Spread over 4 floors all 24 rooms are air conditioned. The apartments have self catering facilities. Four of the top floor deluxe rooms have balconies with stunning views of the sailing area.
CASA RITA
Just a short walk up the slope from the beach, Casa Rita is a very pleasant family run hotel with spectacular views of the ocean and Isla de Coche. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens, the 20 rooms are spread over 2 floors around a quiet internal courtyard. All rooms are air conditioned with private balcony, mini fridge and safe. We love Casa Rita !!
WINDSURFERS OASIS
Situated in the centre of El Yaque directly on the beach. The Oasis Hotel has 22 rooms, all with air conditioning, fridge, safe and TV. Rooms are also available with a very small balcony at a supplement. The hotel has a lovely quiet garden area with a swimming pool, a whirlpool and sunbeds on the beach. This accommodation is also ideal for non windsurfers and families.
