Sal is the perfect place for beginners to advanced windsurfers.
The different locations offered by Surf Zone schools provide varying conditions in which to learn. For those of you just starting the Bay area in Santa Maria and in front of the Riu hotel is perfect. Here the water is more flat and the area more protected.
If you are looking to improve your windsurfing the waters just outside of the Bay is great for water starts, jibes, planning etc.
Warm waters with no rock or reefs, make this an ideal spot for windsurfing.

All Level courses for 7+ yrs of age
Beginner introduction lessons and courses: average is 3-4hours of lessons to get you to the stage where you can practise on your own.
Intermediate and advanced lessons: harness, tacks, jibs, water starts etc.
Majority of teaching time spent on water with board and sail
Instruction in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, Italian
