On the Yunnan Discovery Tour, our bike trails lead through the stunning, untouched landscapes that give China its mysterious and exotic reputation. Sheer mountains boast bold, snow-capped peaks as emerald rivers divide their precipitous heights with deep gorges. As we cycle into the mountains, we'll leave behind modern cities for an experience that feels like a step back in time. Down cobble stone streets, we’ll find the preserved ancient cities of Lijian and Dali. These cities possess architectural beauty and style that is internationally renowned. As our trails wind up the mountains, we will encounter isolated mountain tribes who have maintained the same fascinating traditions for centuries. A diverse and seemingly magical land, Yunnan province is believed to have been the famous Shangri La, or earthy paradise, that author James Milton refers to in Lost Horizons. Cycle with us back in time to discover Yunnan, the dragon of Asia.
