For kayakers this river seems to be the untouchable. However at the right time of year and right flow it is certainly achievable and based on scores for 'paddle rush' and pleasure it is worth its weight in gold! Starting below Victoria Falls, with sheer mist rising up for a third of a mile and the thunderous sound of your journey ahead, there is no greater put-in anywhere. The days are packed full of adrenalin, the nights are chilled with a well deserved beer around the riverside campfire, with your neighbourhood wildlife!
We have designed this trip so that your skills can develop and the challenges increase as we progress. With a stunning helicopter flight over the falls to finish and the ultimate last day running all the best rapids, there is definitely no excuse to miss this one. Day 1
Arrive in Livingstone. Transfer to hotel and the opportunity for a sunset cruise watching elephants on the riverbanks, or a champagne balloon ride.

Day 2
We drive to the top of the Batoka Gorge and in at Rapid 10 with chance to paddle the lower section up to Rapid 21. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3
Head to the put-in beneath Victoria Falls. Nice lunch beneath the falls and prepare to take on some of the best rapids ever! We reach our first night camp after conquering Devils Toilet Bowl and Gulliver’s Travels amongst others.

Day 4
We put-on at Rapid 10 to re-run the section from the first day, stopping to enjoy surf at 12B. Later in the day we take on Oblivion!

Day 5
An early start today heading down to Closed Season and Open Season with some awesome rapids; Chamamba and Upper Moemba. We camp at one of the best river campsites in the world.

Day 6
Walking the Lower Moemba, we go on to tackle the best rapid on the river; Ghostrider. We are met by our helicopter with a gorgeous lunch and fly back to our lodge high above the Zambezi.

Day 7
We transfer into town and can check out mad activities in the Falls. Microlight flights, bungy jumping, gorge swinging, abseiling - the list is endless.

Day 8
An truly awesome day today running all the best rapids together. What an electric ending! Paddle from the Wall down to Oblivion followed by a well deserved post trip meal in town.

Day 9
Transfer back to Livingstone airport for your flight back home.

Optional Extension
As an extension we offer a 3 day Game Safari in Botswana. With the chance to get up-close and personal with elephants, lions, monkeys and leopards, this is the perfect finale to your adventure and a real taste of Africa.
