Bournemouth Stag Weekends

Britain is packed full of sporting opportunities. One reason is that no part of the British Isles is more than a couple of hours' drive from the coast. Now while some people will whinge at the weather, it's the diversity of conditions and environments that produce such a diverse British adventure sports environment.

Looking just at the south coast, you can find great sailing and exceptional kitesurfing conditions - both sports that rely on strong winds - and great beaches on which you can chill afterwards. As coastal resorts go, Bournemouth is an excellent example. Every Bournemouth stag do that visits will testify that as well the chance to go paintballing or clay pigeon shooting, it's the miles of sands, and buzzing beach and night life that attracts them.

As an island nation, Britain is used to a little wind. And the combination of long beaches and blustery conditions prove perfect for new sporting hybrids such as kitebuggying. Now while your average Bournemouth hen party may be more likely to head inland for a spot of quadbiking, they can't help but be inspired by Bournemouth's sporty side.

There are seven miles of beaches in Bournemouth. Your average hen weekend visitor is likely to wander just the first mile or two, while the watersports lovers will go much farther to dig out a spot that best suits them. The beach here is one of the best in the world, retaining the prestigious Blue Flag award since the first year it was introduced in 1996. Water quality is also excellent, something each Bournemouth stag do to visit goes about sampling, coling off after a Go Karting session inland!

For the best views on offer, take one of the cliff lifts. More than 100 years old, these clever contraptions link the cliffs with the beaches. The east cliff lift climbs up to the cliff-top hotels, while the west lift proves one of the best ways to get from the landmark Bournemouth International Centre to the sands below.

As far as beach destinations go Bournemouth is hard to beat. Popular with family groups and full on adventure sports fans alike, it’s a south coast favourite along a coastline of sporting opportunity.
