The Brazilian Kite Championship Visits Barra do Cunhaú
From the 29th to 31st of August the Brazilian Kite Championship “Dreamkite 2008” visits Barra do Cunhaú. A host of Pro Riders and Amateurs will be here at this time showing what they can do and competing for the top prizes.
The riders surf in either the Freestyle Pro Rider (women and men) or Freestyle Amateurs (women and men) and there is also a Race which any kiter that is able to manage a Kite is welcome to compete in. If you don't want to compete it will be a great time to be in Barra do Cunhaú as the town will have a great vibe and you can watch the best kitesurfers Brazil has to offer.
Barra do Cunhaú offers wide beaches in a tranquil atmosphere. There is a huge lagoon where you find perfect flat water, or outside on the beach you can play in the waves. There are small waves (right side of the beach), or large waves (left side of the beach) so something for everyone.
