Paddle Round The Pier is back, with Adventure Sports Holidays teaming up with Extreme Element to take part in this years event, the best free beach festival in the UK. Plans are still very much in there infancy, with ideas being flung left, right and centre (some good, some bad, some totally mad!!) but the date is set, and we are cannot wait for the 5th July to show off what we have mustered together in the office.
The category we have chosen: 'paddle something 'unusual', and we plan to do just that! We intend to make a splash (sorry!) with our choice of contraption, we just don't know exactly what it will be quite yet. Suggestions and ideas are welcome, and remember, everyone is invited to PRTP, and it's free to come down.
Both teams, along with their crazy DIY floats will embark on the challenge of a lifetime, a daring water assault around the infamous Brighton pier, with one aim in mind; make it round! Who will win? Will we finish? We don't know either, but make sure you make it down to Brighton beach come July 5th, when both teams, along with the other swimmers attempt to conquer Brighton pier.
With hope the weather will hold out and be summer sunny, the PRTP '09 event really will be a great weekend, raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process. Bands, Prizes to be won, food, drink and most of all, larking around hoping the float we've made will hold together will be an enjoyable sight!
