New Site Relaunch

Our New Site!

Our New Site!

It’s been a long time coming but finally we have just had a soft launch of our new site – www.adventuresportsholidays.com (ASH). The BETA site is packed with loads of new functionality and has a fresh new look and feel. Over the next few months we will be usability testing the site and collecting feedback from our lovely visitors.  The old site was first built in late 2003 and a lot has changed since then! So the tables have gone and everything is CSS. Some of the new features include:

Join our Tribe!
Anyone can now join the ASH tribe and upload content including photo albums, videos, top tips, questions, articles and more. Every tribe member gets a public profile (this is mine!) where they can tell the world a bit about themselves. You can link your Facebook or Twitter account with your account and login with those details if you prefer. All the content you upload is tagged with the relevant sports and locations and appears throughout the site. You can share this content and post anything you upload to your other social network profiles.

Travel Experts & Writers
We are building on our current network of experts to advise our users on specific sports and locations. Experts are welcome to join as and in return for submitted articles and helping to moderate and act as ‘Expert’ for a particular section of the site we are offering exposure throughout our site and an enhanced public profile page with links and content about their business or services. Any ‘Experts’ who belong to companies already listed on ASH will get the added benefit of increased traffic to their ASH company page and products.

Navigation & Search
The new site has much improved navigation so no matter where you are in the world you won’t get lost! You can search by activity or by location. Our search results have been improved so they now show you the highest rated holidays, courses, experiences & accommodations first. You can also filter results by price.  We’ve added an easy free field search to every page and you can use an advanced search by clicking on the button at the top left of any page. We have now also added more detailed maps and more destination information.

What Else?
We could go on but we will let you discover for yourself! To keep up-to-date you can submit to an RSS feed of our blog, products and articles or follow us on Facebook & Twitter.
