You’ve probably seen Bobsleighing on the TV during the Winter Olympics. It was invented in the late 1860’s by an Englishman and involves speeding down a narrow, twisting, banked, iced track in a sled power by gravity alone. The modern tracks are constructed from concrete and artificial ice. The tracks are about 1200 meters long, contain a straight, have at least one labyrinth and about 15 curves. This sport will really get your adrenalin flowing as you can reach speed up to 130 km/h and crews will be subjected to as much as 5 g in the tighter corners.
