Ascents of Adventure provides tailor made Hillwalking, Scrambling and Rock Climbing experiences in the mountains of the Lake District, Snowdonia and Scotland.

The mountains of the UK contain a stunning array of Hillwalking, Rock Climbing and Scrambling. Mountains, sea cliffs, road side crags - we have them all. The only thing we're a bit short of is bolted crags - but that's another story. The iconic ken Wilson volume Classic Rock gives a superb introduction to climbing in the UK and these routes are all accessible to the relative novice.

When all is cold and gloomy in the UK I run hot and sunny Rock Climbing holiday courses to Sardinia. These trips are completely suitable for beginners and you could be leading by the end of 6 days.

I also run weekend courses where the dark and mysterious art of Mountain Navigation is covered - never get lost again (or at least know what to do if you do so!). All navigation courses include a night navigation exercise - if you go out into the hills often enough you may be walking off in the dark, especially in Winter. This is not as difficult as it may sound and here's the chance to have a go in a controlled situation.

Bespoke packages are also available for mountain challenges such as the National 3 Peaks, 14 Peaks in Snowdonia, Bob Graham Round, Paddy Buckley Round, Charlie Ramsay Round, the Lakes 3000s and the Scottish 4000s. Or maybe you have a challenge of your own.

Low group numbers, all specialised climbing equipment provided on Rock Climbing days/courses and as the evenings get warmer and lighter we'll climb or walk from dawn till dusk if you so wish.
