ATG Oxford was founded in 1979 on principles of conservation and sustainable tourism, long before these concepts became fashionable. In the same year it launched what was then a new style of travel: Journeys on foot along continuous routes through the most interesting and beautiful parts of Europe. Other innovations followed.

ATG has been made what it is today by our clients. Through listening to what our clients tell us and acting on their suggestions we have been able to consistently delight them, and virtually everyone who travels with ATG rates their overall enjoyment as good or excellent. As a result we have not had to advertise these trips for many years: almost everyone comes through personal recommendations.
