The Maldives archipelago stretches along a length of 820 kilometers across the Indian Ocean covering a total area of 90,000 sq kilometers. The archipelago consists of over 26 atoll formations varying from tiny atolls to some of the largest in the world.

There are three standard tour routes that GTM Cruiser takes. The South tour covers the central south portion of the country that includes South Male’ Atoll and Vaavu Atoll, the Ari tour route consists of North Male’ Atoll and Ari Atoll to the west of Male’ and a north route will take you to locations in North Male’ Atoll, Lhaviyani and Baa Atolls. Tour configurations may vary according to weather conditions and can be customized to suit the particular needs of a group.

GTM Cruiser also tours the untouched Southern Atolls of the country south of the one-and-a-half-degree channel. However guests will have to take the domestic flight to the south where the vessel will be ready to pick them up, if this option is taken.

GTM Cruiser is a brand new deluxe yacht built in the Maldives and launched in November 2009. It is certainly amongst the best in its class offering luxury and comfort and conforming to all international maritime safety requirements. GTM Cruiser presents a blend of traditional boatbuilding, modern design and the latest technology. It is custom-designed to cruise the waters of the Maldives.

The hull is of traditional Maldivian design incorporates the richness of Maldivian craftsmanship perfected over centuries to suit the nuances of the Maldivian waters, offering smooth sailing through the atolls of the Maldives.

GTM Cruiser is sleek and slender on the outside. It is a picture that beckons the mariner, the adventurer and the true Maldiveconnoisseur. Its white exterior gives it that unique tropical charm; of peace, calm and tranquil picture-perfect settings for a great sailing experience.

The ships wooden interiors offer a cozy welcome from the moment you board and offers you a homely ambience that makes your stay that much more enjoyable. It is a design that blends traditional Maldivian designs with modern elegance.

GTM Cruiser is designed and configured to offer the utmost comfort for its guests. The top sundeck provides an open space where one can relax and enjoy the fresh breeze with a three-sixty view of the horizon.

The middle deck houses the bar and lounge with an open area with seating for guests to enjoy the view. The lounge is designed for use as a place of relaxation to spend the evening after a day of fun in the sun. It is also equipped with karaoke, media library, plasma TV with DCD and VCD players and surround speakers for those looking for a bit of lively action in the evenings. The lounge also comes with a disco floor if you prefer to dance the night away.

The main saloon and the restaurant are located on the main deck while the guest cabins are laid out in the lower deck.

Guest Cabins

Accommodation on the GTM Cruiser is provided in eight deluxe guest cabins offering a welcome abode and your personal space during your cruise. Cozy lighting, individually controlled air conditioning and the welcoming interior décor lets you relax in style. The beds are designed to offer comfort and to make you feel well-rested ready to take on another day of fun or relaxation in the sun.

All eight guest cabins on the GTM Cruiser come with double beds while five them come with an additional single bed that can be used if there is a need for triple accommodation.

The guest cabins offer the comfort you need after a day of action or relaxation. It is your very own sanctuary once you decide to retire after an evening of exotic cocktails under starlit skies, or an evening of fun on the beach on one of the many virgin islands of the Maldives.

All cabins have en suite bathrooms with hot and cold water throughout the day and night.



Food and Beverage

Meal times are a delight and something to look forward to when you are on the GTM Cruiser. The day starts with a delightful buffet breakfast that will fuel you up for the day ahead. Lunch and dinner are something to look forward to; sumptuous buffets consisting of delicious western and oriental fare mixed in with delightful varieties prepared with the fresh catch from the bountiful seas that surround you.

We do not stop just by offering you delightful meals on board. Lunches are served as picnics on idyllic islands and dinners are often barbeques on the beach under moonlit skies in the warmth of a delightful campfire. With such events there is the obvious entertainment of beach discos and fun and games that will really spoil you.

Theme nights are also part of the dinner program with a special Maldivian night programmed in each tour; letting you sample some of the local foods and local dishes of fish and seafood.

GTM Cruiser ensures that The Bar is well stocked with a good choice of beers and a variety of fine wines to choose from. A wide variety of delightful cocktails are also on the bar menu. In addition to that the ship’s barman can also concoct a cocktail of your choice that you deem fit for any occasion


Diving
Cruising gives you the opportunity to dive the best dive locations of the country and our cruise routes for dive groups are designed to ensure you get to dive the very best.

GTM Cruiser is equipped to take the most ardent dive group on tour. The boat is equipped has its own inventory of high quality dive gear, compressor and separate dive boat. Our qualified professional dive guide will guide you on the specifics of each and every dive.

A dive safari takes you away from the sites that are dived daily by resort guests. It takes you to sites inaccessible from resorts. The boat moves to a new location every day, bringing you close to several exciting dive sites. It avoids long and tiresome trips to and back from the site.

The numbers of dives per day is up to your choosing. Be it one or two dives during the day plus a night dive to observe the amazing transformation of the reef at night and its nocturnal creatures, our crew will accommodate your dive requirement whatever it may be.

Fishing Tours

If you are a keen fishing enthusiast and if you have the ambition of making a memorable fishing tour GTM Cruiser can offer you the perfect fishing tour designed for you. The vessel is equipped with the complete fishing tackle and fishing gear and we will take you to the best fishing sites that would yield the kind of catch you desire.

Maldivian's enjoy a variety of different types of fishing. The most popular among them is night fishing. The boat anchors at a reef before the sunsets and darkness sets in. The lines are then tethered with hooks and sinkers and dropped overboard from both sides of the boat. Big Game Fishing involves trolling, usually outside the atoll along the reef. GTM Cruiser offers night fishing trips and big game fishing for ardent fishermen who want to test the rich waters of the Maldives.

The idea of big game fishing may vary according to the individual, but it will surely be an extraordinary experience on a fishing tour on board the GTM Cruiser.Who knows you may even become the proud owner of a new record making you the envy of friends.


Surfing Tours
A surf cruise on board the GTM Cruise gives you the opportunity to test the best known breaks in the North and South Male’ Atolls as well as lesser known sites in atolls further to the south.

The recognized surf season in the Maldives is the Southwest Monsoon, from May to October with the best surf coming in during March to May and then again in September till the end of November during which reef breakers can rise to an average of eight to ten feet.

Surf tours can also be custom designed to locations that you prefer to surf.


Entertainment

In addition to diving, snorkeling on virgin reefs, visits to local islands and picnics on idyllic locations, a cruise on GTM offers several possibilities of entertainment and enjoyment. Our program is geared to maximize the satisfaction of our guests.

Tours include barbeques on the beach of uninhabited islands, buffet theme nights on board, music and disco evenings if that is to the liking of the guests and several options of relaxing board games and other interesting activities. Our routes also include resort stops, if our guests prefer an evening out at a resort to experience a change in the atmosphere and ambience.
