Since the first sea kayaking trip in 1992, Inserimex Travel had operated the sea canoe kayaking trip in Halong Bay over 18 years - under the name Sea Canoe Vietnam. During 18 years, Sea Canoe Vietnam proud of to be the first and the most professional Sea kayaking tour operator in Vietnam. Under the dedication & supporting by John “Caveman” Gray – a professional American Sea kayaker – the pioneer & founder of Sea Canoe in South East Asia, Sea Canoe Vietnam was gained as one of the 25 Greatest Adventure Tours in the World in 2000 by National Geography Magazine.

As Asia's original sea kayak expedition company, we emphasizes local conditions and culture. By the research and exploration trip annually around the bay, we have a list of confidential caves and destination which allowing you to visit sites far from the pier rarely seen by outsiders. Kayaking inside limestone karst is one of our specialities. Aside from the comforts and permits, escort boats allow you to efficiently experience the remote geology and untouched culture harboured within Ha Long's scattered limestone islands. Sunsets and sunrises on the water provide greatly improved chances of wildlife sightings, and the tranquillity is overwhelming.

Throughout your sea kayaking trip in Halong bay, you explore complicated rock gardens, paddle long dark sea caves and visit cliff-lined inland lagoons ("phongs" in Vietnamese, "hongs" in Thai). You will learn about stalactites and stalagmites, coral gardens, wildlife and Ha Long's exceptional geology with English-speaking guides trained by John “caveman” Gray in cave kayaking and Ha Long's Natural History.

In most caves, our staff do the paddling. However, some long-range caves are large enough that cave self-paddling is sometimes an option. Our self-designed ultra-tough inflatable kayaks allow you to explore deep into small caves. Silent and smooth, you won't disturb bat colonies, and if you are lucky, you might see birds, primates, reptiles, fish and coral closer than you ever dreamed possible. Many species we see were considered rare or extinct in this habitat. (Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed, but sunrise and sunset are the best times.)
As a professional eco-tour operator, protecting the environment and ecology is our prime commitment. Our guides are well trained and can make suggestions that help travellers minimize any damage to environment or ecosystem.

Our sea kayaking program is designed from one day trip to 06 days/ 05 nights trip with daily departure. Beside the program in Halong Bay, we also run the trip in Ba Be lake (Northern of Vietnam) and Ninh Binh (North Vietnam about 90km from Hanoi).
