Our goal at Kent Mountain Adventure Center is to "Promote Personal Growth in Young People through Outdoor Adventure". We deeply believe in the power of adventure to enrich and guide young lives. It is our task to make that experience happen in constructive and nourishing ways. We provide the location, equipment, and supervision. The learning happens experientially - students learn by doing.

KMAC courses are about self confidence, teamwork, communication, diversity, establishing goals and working towards them. They are designed to give young people the chance to find excitement and discovery in their lives.

KMAC staff are more than just guides -- they are role models. They are teachers, child care professionals, and outdoor activity specialists. All are mature, outgoing and committed to the KMAC philosophy and mission. We build on their rich personal experience with extensive staff training. We strive by role modeling and direct action to teach the importance to have passion and integrity in our daily lives, hoping that our future leaders will be able to make decisions that come from their hearts as well as their minds. Minimum age for lead staff is 23. Most all of our senior guides have college degrees and are certified Wilderness First Responders.
