POUSADA VIA COL VENTO is a new, comfortable, colourful, and cosy lodging opened in July 2010. The Pousada has a tasteful design, created by an Italian painter who has for a decade exhibited her paintings in major galleries in Paris, Milan, and Barcelona. The location of the Pousada in the world famous Ilha do Guajiru in Praia da Barra, Ceara, makes it a perfect spot for beginners and expert kiters alike, with a lagoon practically on the doorstep making the spot both safe and comfortable. The warm winds and waters of the lagoon will not leave you cold, in any sense of the word! The charming apartments range from 30 to 40 square meters. Four of the apartments have one double and one single bed, accommodating 3 persons. The biggest one has 4 beds in one fabulous open space. The breakfast buffet at 7.00 am consists of fresh tropical fruits, bread with marmalade, cheese, eggs and ham as well as coffee, milk, fresh fruit juice and coconut water.

LODGE
The interior design of the apartments is a mixture of local materials and handicraft by the owners . The roof is made of Brazilian Carnauba and the towel holders and sinks of pure bamboo. The artistic and decorative shower mosaics are personally created by the owners. The beds are individually handmade of tropical wood, as are the shelves and tables. Even the coconut lamp holders are handmade by artisans living in the villages around Ilha do Guajiru. The apartments are surrounded by a large garden full of trees bearing fruits such as pineapple, mango, papaya, passion fruit, watermelon, banana, and coconut. You can also enjoy the sunshine in the swimming pool in the garden.

BAR RESTAURANT BARBEQUE
The large restaurant area of 400 meters has an adorable family atmosphere, with a friendly and charming personnel. While eating with your feet in the sand, you can enjoy the stunning view of the lagoon, the coconut palms, other tropical trees, and the rest of the paradise that is Ilha do Guajiru in Praia da Barra. Meals are personally cooked by the owners, who are real artists of the culinary kind. Italian and international dishes are prepared with tremendous skill. You will truly cherish the authentic “Italian Mamma”-way of preparing the legendary Italian cakes, pies, parmigiana, gnocchi, lasagne - garnished with basilica, rucola, and oregano obtained by planting Italian seeds in Brazilian soil. Delicious local fish, big lobsters, shrimps, and clams of the lagoon are served with spaghetti to make your meal unforgettable. We also have a wifi area for your personal use.

TRANSFER
