The Royal Beach Camp and Himalayan Extreme Sports Institute is headed by Ram Silwal. Ram is a professional kayaker, instructor and expedition leader.

Ram holds a diploma in adventure tourism and is a professional kayaker and riverguide, SRT- and BCU-certified. He has worked as senior riverguide, kayakinstructor and consultat in several countries around the world, including Nepal, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, France, India, Thailand and New Zeeland.

He has lead and participated in several major riverexpeditions, many of them featured in international adventure- and paddling magazines and some of them turned into films showing on channels like National Geographic Channel and Outdoor Life Network.
