SYD is a hiking and outdoor activities company that was founded in 2009 with the aim to get people in touch with nature, whilst enjoying their favourite sporting activities. SYD offers a variety of outdoor activities such as: hiking, canyonning, paragliding, rock-climbing, scuba-diving and so on, that can all be enjoyed in the beautiful, natural volcanic surroundings of Tenerife. All the seven Canary Islands, including Tenerife, are fortunate to be the home of some of the richest levels of biodiversity on the planet, thus why the archipelago’s environment is held highly amongst scientists and biologist world-wide for its diverse landscape, flora and fauna and why SYD take advantage of its amazing scenery not only as a back-drop for its sporting events but also, as an interactive classroom for its environmental educational activities carried out for youth clubs, schools and groups.

The young Mary Cabral is at the forefront of SYD, having previously successfully worked for several different outdoor activity companies in Tenerife, her extensive experience in canyonning, scuba diving, rock climbing, caving, mountain biking, paragliding, sea-kayaking, hiking, trekking and bridge jumping and, especially, her love for the outdoors, have all inspired her to launch this project. Today, you can discover the Canarys and the Island of Tenerife via all the services and outdoor activities that SYD makes available to you on their website, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
