The VIP wind surf center is the only school in Ortakent bay that is publicly available and open to all. It offers customised service to meet your individual needs in a unique quiet and relaxed, atmosphere inspired by the sportive spirit. You will not only benefit from our friendly and individual service but also quickly make contact with others.

The wind and wave conditions on this spot offer an ideal training environment to enhance your skills quickly whether you are a beginner or already an expert. In the mornings the wind is typically moderate which is better for beginners. The wind picks up throughout the day and you can enjoy windsurfing until around 19 h. Some of the best windsurfers of Turkey have made Ortakent their local training ground.
During the summer months, the wind speed ranges between 3 and 6 beaufort, side-off-shore. In proximity to the shore, the water is flat, further out you will find small to larger chop perfect to learn jumping or just blast along.

The center is run by an open minded and entrepreneurial Turkish-German couple with international life and work experiences. Besides Turkish and German, they speak French and English fluently which always provides guests with the ability to communicate and learn from each other. After an unforgettable day of sun, fun and surfing, you can enjoy a refreshing beer or a tasty cocktail at the open air beach bar under a star filled sky.

The center is owned by Lena Erdil, who is turkish slalom women champion. She has also become a regular on the PWA worldtour and is currently placed 5th (after one event in 2011). Beside windsurfing, she is studying politics and philosophie in the University of Sussex in Brighton UK. In the summer months, when there are no competitions, she is training and working in the Center.
