Corporate Activities Travel Guide
The essence of Corporate Travel is to reward the people who help shape a company's fortunes and are valuable assets to a business.
A generous ‘Thank-You’ to hard working employees or loyal customers by way of a team excursion can positively impact morale, attitude and performance.
In days gone by, corporate activities were limited to assault courses in the depths of a forest, with an over zealous instructor chasing your staff through knee-deep mud. While this can still be fun, nowadays the list of corporate activities is far broader, more exciting and more inclusive.
Whether there’s two, or two thousand members in the team, and regardless of whether you’ve got one day or longer to play with, there will be a trip and some fun waiting for you and your work colleagues.

Planning
The key to a successful corporate activity excursion is detailed organisation. For anything over ten people it will be like trying to herd cats, but the proper planning will prevent poor performance – as the old adage goes!
The main thing is to ensure everyone arrives on time, in the right place, carrying what they need. Participating members can then be shipped out across the UK or abroad with undoubtedly high levels of expectation and a sense of adventure.
Informing your colleagues about the chosen activities is also important. Some may have health issues that will prevent them from participating; others may not be ready to address their fear of eels by swimming through a swamp. If they have the correct information to hand before leaving home, then they can decide whether or not to join in. If you have the resources, then alternative activities could be offered so that everyone is incorporated.
Costs
Obviously the costs are dependent on how many people come along, where you travel to, which activities you choose and how long the trip lasts for. Most operators of corporate activity trips will be able to produce price per head figures.
Trip Styles
As mentioned before, the choice of corporate activities is extensive. You could base your trip around one sport or multiple activities. You could choose a trip that introduces a new sport to everyone or develops existing skills. You can intertwine physical activity with mental problem solving or plump for just plain fun.
Whichever activities you choose, it is unlikely the people who come along for the ride will have seen each other in that light before.
Test your off-road driving skills in the gorgeous Yorkshire countryside or hone your clay pigeon shooting abilities in the Midlands. Get competitive on a Go-Karting day in Bath or try something completely new while zorbing on the south coast.
Alternatively, if you have more time to spare then a team excursion overseas is a good option. On offer are trips ranging from husky dog sledding in Sweden to mountain biking through Nairobi in Kenya; from trekking in the central Andes to surfing in Morocco.
Any activity, anywhere, sets the tone for a bit of boundary pushing, a bit of silliness, a bit of getting muddy and a lot of fun, all with the people who you spend most of your waking and working lives with.
