Paris, located in the north of France, deserves its reputation as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. flat and easy to get around. Nearby, there's great mountainbiking. Trips to the Loire Valley will reveal some excellent off-road routes and take you through some fantastic wine growing regions. This 'Garden of France' takes up 800 sq kms and has earned its place on the UNESCO list of world heritage sites.
As a base for overland trips, Paris is perfect: full of charms and centrally located, both in France and in Europe. Start you journey in the French capital and venture south through the picturesque Pyrenees, to the romantic cites of Spain. There's more testing overland tours to be had: Paris is the first city on tours through Belgium, Holland, Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Italy. But before you leave, you should make sure you’ve a few days to explore more the Parisian lifestyle. Paris is not just about its monuments and museums: there are wonderful parks, French fashions and all manner of French flavours.
