Getting There
The nearest airport is in Geneva. From the airport a bus runs daily. The tourist office at the airport has the schedules.Avoriaz and Morzine can be reached by a train/bus combination. Trains from Paris and Geneva arrive several times a day, and a bus makes the 40-km. climb.Driving, take the Geneva-Mont Blanc autoroute and take exit 18, Morzine/Avoriaz. Morzine is 60 km. from Geneva and Avoriaz only 15 km. further.Open-air parking in Avoriaz costs about €40 for a week; covered parking for a week is about €76. Transfers, available 24 hours a day from the parking lots in the town center, cost €5–€13 for one to four people; luggage costs an extra €2.Parking in the Morzine lot at the bottom of the cablecar is free. Avoriaz is a 20-minute drive from Morzine. Cablecars leave every 15 minutes, 7 a.m.-9 p.m.; on Friday and Saturday it closes at 1 a.m. Those with lift passes ride free 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; otherwise the charge is €5.50.
