Posted by Mark Pawlak on 20th April 2011There is an abundance of accommodation options in Tarifa, ranging from 5-star hotels to backpacker hostels and a great camp site right on the main beach if you are on a budget (or just like camping!). The night-life in Tarifa is fantastic, with a mixture of new clubs and bars, and traditional restaurants and tavernas. July and August are when the Spanish take their annual holiday so the town can swell in size with a huge influx of visitors. If you are planning on coming during these months, then book up your accommodation and any activities in advance, it will be busy.
Windsurfing and kitesurfing are certainly the main sports practised in Tarifa, but it doesn't end there⦠Quad biking, horse riding, surfing, and mountain biking are also popular with visitors. Tarifa is also perfectly situated to help you explore the surrounding parts of Cadiz and Andalucia - the more adventurous may even think about having a day trip to Tangier in Africa!
