Getting There
UK - Charter flights fly from Gatwick and most regional airports to Malaga many times a day. This gives the opportunity for varied duration holidays from 1 day to 1 month. Transfer time is less than 2 hrs by hire car. Gibraltar is closer and has a daily scheduled service. The drive is only 30 mins. The flight time to Malaga or Gibraltar is about 3 hours.
Málaga's busy airport (tel: 952 04 88 38), the main international gateway to AndalucÃa, receives flights by dozens of airlines (budget and otherwise) from around Europe.
Bus 19 to the city centre leaves the airport roughly every half an hour, stopping at the city bus and train stations en route. Going out to the airport, you can catch this bus at the western end of Paseo del Parque and outside the stations.
There's also a train station a short walk from the airport. Trains run early till late every half-hour into the centre of town. Taxis from the airport to the city centre are also available.
