Introducing Glasgow (Continued...)

s. Braehead is home to Xscape, a huge indoor entertainment destination, housing a real snow ski slope, rock climbing, and aerial obstacle courses, providing adventure for children and adults alike.

If you’re looking to escape from the city you’ll be presently surprised, as the true beauty of the Scottish countryside is just on Glasgow’s doorstep. Within an hour of its centre you can be climbing a Munro, cycling along Loch Lomond, or sailing in some of Europe’s most beautiful coastal waters. Glasgow has an excellent public transport system and its commuter lines reach some of the most scenic and iconic places, which means the city is perfect commuting distance from the rolling countryside of the Clyde Valley.

Cycling is a great way to experience the rich countryside, with paths suitable for long, relaxed excursions as well as challenging mountain rides. Hiking and walking tours take you out of the city into the affluent northern parts of Glasgow where you can explore the city's numerous historic manor houses and stately homes by foot.

Award-winning outdoor activities centre ‘Nae Limits’ is located an hour north of Glasgow and provides adventure for all, throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy cliff jumping, white water rafting, canyoning and adventure tubing. And that’s just in the water. On land, courses are run in abseiling, bungee jumping, quad biking and skiing.
